Well, it’s finally over!  After months of noise and drama, we’ve had our election and can now enjoy the “peace of resolution.”  We know the results and, with some reflection and analysis, we’ll plot our future path.  After achieving a major goal or accomplishing a key milestone, it’s an ideal time to pause and evaluate what’s working in your business, what needs improvement and what is constraining you.

This week I attended a Customer Service Revolution Workshop hosted by The DiJulius Group of Cleveland.  It was an exceptional experience, made more special because it was shared with some friends and associates who work with me and also believe in the power of relationships.  The knowledge and inspiration gained from this experience caused me to reflect on my business and on how I might better serve those who have entrusted their business to me.

Various stories and case studies presented during the workshop strengthened the notion that partnering with customers builds enduring relationships and fuels growth for you and your customer.  The stories shared by the speakers transcended all industries, but revealed a few common principles:

The more invested you are in producing value for customers, the more likely you will both  succeed.”

Increase your commitment to action by asking “how” you will produce value for customers rather than “should” you produce it.

Cultivate the habit of action by demanding progress rather than perfection.”

Your customers don’t remember what you said as much as how your actions made them feel.

Having just completed the election season, and with the year-end fast approaching, the time for reflection and evaluation is now.  Proven values like these provide guidance about how growing businesses transform themselves to sustain their performance.

 What’s next for your business?

How committed are you to producing value for your customers?
